designing in a spectacular site is about framing views. The concept allows audience to observe the environment from every area in the building. Apart from its primary function, the builiding becomes a viewpoint, considered as a set of multiple ”view-frames”. The regular, axial plan provides multiple viewing axis ensuring that none of them is favored.

exterior = interior

thanks to the circular open-work form, the theatre stays neutral to the landscape - the exterior fluently becomes the interior, giving to the overall design sensible, delicate feel in relationship with the scenery. The form of the building is a modern interpretation of the antique theatre arechetype, refering in contemporary way to the classical architecture.
